Concreting companies are geared for driveways and house slabs. Ring one about a three-metre path, a base for a water tank or a set of steps to the back door and you will often be told to call back when you have something bigger, or quoted a price that assumes you will say no.

Properly prepared and reinforced bases sized to the tank. A tank on a poor base is the start of a cracking problem — we know exactly what these need.
Shed, garage and container slabs
Small to mid-size slabs with the right fall, reo and thickness for what is going on top.
Paths and walkways
Front paths, side access, clothesline paths and connections between existing slabs. Broomed, floated or exposed finish.
Steps and landings
Back-door steps, garden steps and small landings, formed and finished with a non-slip surface.
Post and pier footings
Footings for fences, gates, pergolas, verandah posts, clotheslines and letterboxes.
Pump and equipment pads
Level pads for pressure pumps, filter housings, air conditioners, generators and rainwater equipment.
Small repairs and infills
Patching failed sections, filling awkward gaps between slabs, re-levelling settled pads.
Site prep and formwork
Excavation, base preparation, compaction and formwork — the part that actually determines whether the concrete lasts.
What it costs
Small concreting is quoted per job rather than hourly, because the cost sits mostly in materials, prep and access. Site visits and quotes are free. As a rough guide, a small path or pad usually lands somewhere between $600 and $2,500 depending on size, thickness, reinforcement and how hard the site is to get to.

How big a job will you take on?
Anything from a single post footing up to a shed slab. Beyond that — full driveways, house slabs, structural work — you want a dedicated concreting crew, and we will point you at one.
Do you do water tank bases specifically?
Yes. A tank base has to be dead level, properly compacted and reinforced — a poor base is the start of a cracking problem down the track. We build them to suit the tank going on top.
Is there a licensing limit on this work?
In NSW, residential building work valued over $5,000 must be done by a licensed contractor, and over $20,000 needs a written contract. Small pours generally sit well under that. If your job is bigger, we will tell you up front and help you find the right licensed builder.
How long before I can use it?
Usually walkable in 24 to 48 hours, but leave it a full 7 days before anything heavy, and around 28 days for full strength. We will give you specific advice for your job.
